Location: In the very heart of Europe

History, location and the best connections

The are three key factors when looking into any real estate: Location, location, location. And you could hardly find a better location than the area where Willstätt industrial park stands today. BASF was aware of this as early as 1965 when it set up its production of magnetic tapes. It was to become the world's largest producer of coatings for magnetic tapes.

The Willstätt industrial estate is in the heart of Europe. Strasbourg is just ten kilometres to the east and provides immediate access to practically any type of transport:

By road:
You have very quick access to the French as well as the German motorways. (The A5 is the motorway connecting north and south Germany not only allowing you to get to Hamburg, Frankfurt and Basel with ease. It is also linked to other motorways for all other directions: the A8 to Munich, the A 3 to Cologne etc)

By air:
Both Strasbourg-Entzheim airport and Baden airport are just a few minutes away.

By train:
There are excellent rail connections via Offenburg station just 15 kilometres way. These provide not only intercity/high speed intercity trains but also fast links for freight trains.

By ship:
Thanks to the fact that Kehl Rhein harbour is so near cargo shipping presents no problem and is easy to reach from the Willstätt industrial estate.

Owing to the drop in production of magnetic tapes large numbers of offices and warehouses have now become available which are currently being used by companies specialising in industrial production and logistics.
